Nurse Kate McLanachan, author of 'Spirits of Shelton', uniquely shares the real ghostly experiences told by the people who knew the old psychiatric hospital in Shrewsbury. Previously a former ‘lunatic asylum’ Shelton was open from 1945 to 2012.  Nurse McLanachan trained and worked there. The night nurses had paranormal experiences while they were on duty at the darkest, coldest time, known as the ‘witching hour’ or the ‘devil’s hour,’ when the spirits were thought to be at their most powerful.
